marLiN2 - Software
The marLiN2 electronic scale and LN2 refill system can be controlled via a web interface from desktop computers as well as mobile devices using any web browser. No further software is required. However, native apps with additional features are available for Windows, Mac OS X and Linux desktop computers as well as for mobile devices running Android >= 4.4 (Kitkat). The Android app is available from Google's Play Store. Desktop apps may be downloaded from here. Desktop apps are compiled using Java 8u91 and may require a recent Java runtime environment.
|Operating System||Compiled on||Architecture||Action|
|Linux (deb)||Ubuntu 16.04||64-bit|
|Linux (rpm)||CentOS 7.2||64-bit|
|Mac OS X (dmg)||El Capitan||64-bit|
The firmware of the marLiN2 controller can most easily be upgraded if the controller is fully hooked up to the internet. If it is, it will check the marlin2 web site for firmware updates when loading the the "Firmware" page of the marlin2 web interface. A firmware update may then be downloaded and applied directly.
If the device does not have full internet connection, a firmware file may be downloaded from this site and uploaded to the controller on the "Firmware" page of the web interface. For security reasons, the upload of a firmware file has to be accompanied with a unique security token. The tokens published here must be entered in the corresponding field on the "Firmware" page of the marlin2 web interface. Without this token, the firmware cannot be installed.

Please note, that a firmware update should be followed by a reboot of the system. If the controller does not reboot automatically, it should be carried out manually.
